Combination Group

Combination groups are dynamically updated with combined references from other custom or smart groups based on Boolean logic.

Rename / Edit / Delete Combination Group

Combination groups may be renamed, edited, or deleted by displaying the groups menu or right or control clicking on the name.

Select edit group to modify the groups to combine and/or the Boolean operators.

Creating a Combination Group

1. In EndNote, go to Groups > Create From Groups.

2. Give the combination group a name in the Create From Groups box. Select the existing custom or smart groups to combine (maximum of 10) and specify the Boolean operator (e.g., And, Or, Not). Click Create.

In the example above, references in the custom group Health Disparities not containing Krieger anywhere in the Author field (smart group Krieger) will appear in the combination group.

3. Find the combination group on the left under My Groups.
