Finding the Advice

For your text, you will probably want to find something popular. The best place to find popular articles in Reader's Guide (full text and retrospective).

You can search them both at once if you're not sure what period you want your advice from.

  1. Select one of them, either Reader's Guide Full Text (1983-present) or Reader's Guide Retrospective (1890-1982)
  2. Above the search box, select "Choose Databases"
  3. In the list of databases, select both (and any other databases you might want to search
  4. Select "OK"

Now you can search both at the same time.

At this point, you can search for your terms. Use AND to combine terms and OR for other terms.

child rearing AND (food OR diet)
(breast feeding OR breastfeeding) AND advice
