EH 106: Freshman Writing I: Information Cycle

What is the Information Cycle?

You may be wondering what type of information you need for your paper.  Understanding the information cycle can help you with that.

The Information Cycle is the progression of an even as shown in the media.  What type of resource you use will depend on what you need.

The more distance an author has from an event, the more analysis can be done on the topic. If you need to know what was said at the moment of an event, you will choose something earlier in the cycle. If you need to know how an even was analyzed, use something later in the cycle.
