To create a My NCBI account,
1. Go to PubMed.
2. Click on "Sign in to NCBI." This page shows several options for signing up, including making a personal account or using your Google or UAB passwords. NIH investigators should choose to log in with their eRA Commons credentials!
Be sure to use the same login every time you sign in to MyNCBI.

NIH investigators need to have accounts linked to eRA Commons to use in progress reports and non-competing continuation grant awards. The quickest way to create a linked account is to log in using your eRA Commons credentials after clicking on the "sign in with NIH" button shown in the screenshot below.
The familiar eRA Commons log in page will open. Log in with your password, and answer a couple of one-time questions. (Choose the email route, if asked.) Note that you can opt to stay signed in by using the checkbox on the page.Use this feature only on computers that are not shared.
You can sign into My NCBI using your name and password you use from a partner organization.(UAB) The account will be linked to the UAB and will use your Blazer ID and password. Click on the "See more 3rd Party options" link, and then choose University of Alabama at Birmingham from the choices offered.
Note that you can opt to stay signed unless you sign out by using the checkbox on each page.
