Viewing Details about an Author

Viewing author details

The Author Details page provides information about authors who have more than one document matched to them in Scopus.  The information includes the author's unique identifier number, contact details, affiliation, publishing history, subject areas of interest, and research information.  You can see the reference list, the articles that cite the author's work, and set citation alerts from the right panel.

To view an Author Details page, run an Author search, and then click the author's name.  You can then perform any of these tasks:

View an author's documents      Request corrections to author details
Evaluate an author's performance (h Index, citations)      Create a list of documents
Find and group potential author matches      Email author details
Set up an RSS feed/email alert for an author      Print author details
Track author citations      Return to the results list/previous document
Find co-authors      Show and hide author details

The Scopus h-graph

The h-graph displays the h index for a single author, multiple authors, or a group of selected documents.  The h index is a metric based on the highest number of papers included that have had at least the same number of citations.  An h-index of 12 for an author means that out of the total number of documents selected to produce the graph, 12 of the documents have been cited at least 12 times.

Learn more about the h-index.

Note:The h index considers Scopus documents published after 1970, but the information from 1970-1996 may be incomplete for now.

The h Index is available in both a graph and a document list.  The graph displays the information as an interactive graph.  The document list displays the information in a table format.

Here is an example of the updated "analyze author output" h-index page.
