Keeping Up with the Research Literature

Browsing the Table of Contents (TOCs) of Important Journals         

  • Many journals provide email alerts of new issues with links to content the library licenses. 
    • Use a search engine to find the journal's website.  Look for a link such as "Alert services."
    • Often the links to articles work on campus only, so  copy the article title into PubMed or Google Scholar from the LHL homepage to access the full text article.
  • ​Download the Browzine app to scan TOCs and read the PDFs on your tablet or smartphone.

Citation Alerts:  See who is citing your work

Literature search updates: Have a specific search run at regular intervals with the results emailed to you
