Why Open Access Resources?

The use of costly textbooks and other paid classroom resources creates an equity issue in the classroom, and there are plenty of free scholarly resources that are just as credible as (and typically more up-to-date than) traditional college textbooks. The use of these free resources ease resource access strain on students, and will help eliminate these types of barriers that prevent students from completing class readings and other various assignments to the best of their ability.
