CINAHL stands for Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature.

Topics covered: In addition to nursing, covers allied health topics such as occupational therapy, physical therapy and rehabilitation, health promotion and education, home health, and much more.

Size: 2 million+ citations

Types of documents indexed: Mostly articles, but also Evidence-Based Care Sheets, books, dissertations and theses, conference proceedings, standards of practice, and more.

Date range: 1930s-present
