Research Data Management DMPTool

Introduction

DMPTool is a free, open-source, online application that helps researchers create data management plans. The program was developed and is run by the California Digital Library. The tool provides a click-through wizard for creating a DMP that complies with funder requirements and is meant to be a one-stop shop for researchers to build their data management plan. Anyone with a Blazer ID can log in using their institutional credentials.

Some features of DMPTool are accessible without logging in. Watch this short video to see how to:

  • Look up funder requirements

Watch this next video for a demonstration on how to:

  • Create a plan
  • Request feedback
