When searching for Evidence-based Practice, always search for the highest levels of evidence available. Do this using CINAHL's limits on the Basic & Advanced Search pages. You can filter for EBP content by checking the Evidence-Based Practice box (located only in the Advanced Search) to access specific levels of evidence. Under Publication Types, you can also limit results to find studies like Randomized Controlled Trials, Clinical Trial, Meta Analysis, or Systematic Review, for example.
CINAHL offers Evidence-Based Care Sheets on many popular topics. These brief documents are produced by CINAHL, and offer summations of relevant, high-quality evidence. To find these documents, click on Evidence-Based Care Sheets at the top of the screen.
Topics are can be searched alphabetically, by relevancy, or simply browsed. To open a specific care sheet, check the box next to it and then click Search.
All Evidence-Based Care Sheets have a full text PDF available directly through CINAHL.
Each Evidence-Based Care Sheet is two pages long. It offers a brief summary of "What We Know" and a paragraph on "What We Can Do." You may want to take a look at the references listed at the end of the document.
