- Celia Keenan has this information in a spreadsheet and can provide it to you as needed
- Do I have to use my personal Apple ID?
- No, this is up to you. If you would like to use your personal Apple ID on your UAB iPad then that is fine. If you want to keep your personal information completely separate from the UAB device then you can create a @uabmc.edu Apple ID
- Why is Maas360 required?
- Maas360 is needed to provide secure access to your Health System Email and the wireless network
- Also, if the device is ever lost, Maas360 can be used to remotely erase the device so there is no risk of Protected Health Information being inappropriately disclosed.
- Why should I allow Maas360 to access locaiton information?
- In the event that the device is lost, the Health System can use the location information to attempt to find the device prior to wiping.
- Why should I enable location services?
- Enabling location services is required to allow applications (such as Maas360) to access the location information on the device
- Why should I allow Maas360 to send notifications?
- Notifications will let you know when new applications or documents are available in the app catalog.
- What is the mail quarantine?
- Your device will go into a mail quarantine for a period of time (2-12 hours depending on time of day) to allow a member of the Health System IT group to validate your device.
- This is a one time event and will have no impact on your ability to send/receive email through the web interface.
- Who can I contact when things go wrong?
- Anesthesia IT is available via the work request system in Dashboard
- Anesthesia IT can also be contacted at 975-2919 if it’s not possible to submit a request
