Welcome to the Lister Hill Library LibGuide to studying for the National Board Dental Exam. Each of the tabs on this LibGuide contains different information that will be useful to you when studying to take your exam.
The Electronic and Print Test Prep Materials tab immediately to the right of the Home tab includes information on NBDE preparation materials both online and in print. These should help you learn not only the material covered by the NBDE, but also how to study for and take it.
Under both of the Test Prep Books tabs, you will find links to the Lister Hill Library Catalog where each listed dentistry textbook can be found. If Lister Hill Library also has access to the electronic version of this book, it will be listed as well. While the NBDE is not based on any specific textbooks, the resources listed were used as reference when creating the exam. Therefore each listed book should be able to help you prepare for the exam in some way.
Also included in this LibGuide are instructions that will help you to use Exam Master, which is available through Lister Hill Library web site. This program can help you to take practice exams, check your results, and even create personalized exams that will focus on your strengths and weaknesses. A link to Exam Master is included under the Electronic and Print Test Prep Materials tab.
