If the interview was conducted via email, substitute “E-mail interview” for “Oral Interview.”

Smith, John. E-mail interview. Conducted by Mary Doe. 15 Oct. 2019.

 

The word “lecture” may be replaced by the type of presentation. Some options are: Address, Reading, Speech, Keynote, Guest lecture, or Conference presentation.

Smith, John. “The Road Less Travelled.” Alabama Library Association Annual Meeting, 23 Mar. 2018, Birmingham, AL. Lecture.

Smith, John. “Romantic Poetry.” EH 222: British and Irish Literature II (1800-Present), 14 Jan. 2018, University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham, AL. Class Lecture.

Smith, John. E-mail to the Author. 15 Oct. 2019.

If the email was to someone other than the author, include the receiver’s name.
