There are two LulzBot Taz 6 3D printers located in Lister Hill Library 3D Printing. The LulzBot 3D printers are named Imogene and Neel after UAB alumni Imogene Langford Baswell, PhD, and Neelaksh "Neel" Varshney, MD. For biographical information on Dr. Baswell and Dr. Varshney, please visit the 3D Printer Namesakes page in this guide.
Build Volume
The build volume for the LulzBot Taz 6 is 280 mm x 280 mm x 250 mm
(11.02 in x 11.02 in x 9.8 in)
We recommend avoiding prints that use the entire surface of the printer's build platform.
Slicer Software
The LulzBot Taz 6 printers are accessible in the 3DPrinterOS cloud-based 3D printer management software. All UAB students, faculty, and staff who complete required 3D printer training will have remote access to the printers managed in 3DPrinterOS.
LulzBot-flavored Cura is available as slicing software for the LulzBot printers. The software can be downloaded from the LulzBot website.
