There are two Dremel 3D45 Idea Builder 3D printers located in Sterne Library 3D Printing. The Dremel 3D45 Idea Builder printers are named Janet and Dai after UAB alumni Janet J. Build Volume
The build volume for the Dremel 3D45 Idea Builder is 254 mm x 152 mm X 170 mm (10 in x 5.98 in x 9.69 in) We recommend avoiding prints that use the entire surface of the printer's build platform.
Slicer Software
The Dremel 3D45 3D printers are accessible in the 3DPrinterOS cloud-based 3D printer management software. All UAB students, faculty, and staff who complete required 3D printer training will have remote access to the printers managed in 3DPrinterOS.
Dremel-flavored Cura is available as slicing software for the Dremel 3D45 printers. The software can be downloaded from the Dremel website.
