EndNote (Desktop Version): Deleting References

1. Highlight the reference(s) you wish to delete.
2. Under the References menu (or you can right-click on a reference), select Move Reference to Trash.
3. The reference(s) will be moved to the Trash folder on the left. 

The next time you close EndNote, you may get a message, “Would you like to empty all records from the Trash? This cannot be undone.” Or you can go to the References menu (or right-click on the Trash icon on the left) > Empty Trash. Confirm that everything in the Trash folder can be deleted and click OK. Click Cancel if you do not want to permanently delete the references in the Trash folder.
