In addition to the citation management software, the EndNote installer adds a new tab and ribbon in Word that includes all of the tools required to cite and manage references in a Word document. To begin using the EndNote tools for Word locate the EndNote X8 tab at the top of the Word document after installing EndNote. If the tab is not visible, the installation may not have been completed correctly.
1. Locate the EndNoteX8 tab at the top of a Word document. Click the tab to display the EndNote tools ribbon. This tab will only be visible after the EndNote software has been installed.
